It’s 2022 and I’m betting big on blogs making a comeback!
For a while when I’ve been motivated to write about something, a top 10 list or Oscar predictions or whatever, I’ve done that on Medium, and before Medium I was using Tumblr. But Medium has gotten increasingly hard to use, apparently in the service of having a more consistent side-wide style. Personally I’m more interested in writing than I am in Medium’s brand identity.
So where to? I’m not going back to Tumblr, and writing anything even of a moderate length on Twitter is a lost cause. What platform will give me the most control?
Oh, literally a website. Forgot about those!
Hopefully having this here will motivate me to write more, even if it’s incoherent ramblings about the Oscars or soccer that nobody will read. This is for me, first and foremost. If some people check in now and then that’s a bonus! This is also my learning-how-Wordpress-works outlet, so apologies if the theming turns unreadable now and then.
